Will these tourists see the statuette of Saint-Nicolas which adorns the eponymous bridge in the city of Joigny ? Solemnly brought in procession in 1829 and installed in the niche dedicated to it, it discreetly adorns the bridge together with the iron cross put in place by the sailors in 1823 to replace the stone one previously erected in the middle of the parapet and collapsed in 1781 during a storm.
