Birds signed by Jean Nouvel

According to the LPB (League for the Protection of Birds), nearly 81 species of birds frequent, sometimes temporarily, the Parc de la Villette in the 19th arrondissement of Paris. Perhaps this is why architect Jean Nouvel covered the walls of the Philharmonie de Paris with thousands of birds that are difficult to count. The building’s facades alone are covered with 265,000 birds made of aluminium sheets. Other birds have invaded the forecourt and the access ramp. In total, there are more than 340,000 of them, in seven different shapes, from light grey to black.
