0
The Monts Dore massif to which this relief belongs is part of the Auvergne Volcanoes Regional Natural Park which stretches from north to south over 74 miles (120 km) between the departments of Puy-de-Dôme and Cantal at an altitude varying between 1,312 and 6,184 feet (400 and 1,885 meters). The park covers five natural regions, four of which - the Dore mountains, the Cantal mountains, the Dôme mountains, the Cézallier - are volcanic massifs and the last one, L'Artense, is a granite plateau.
