The Breguet 14 machine guns

The Breguet 14 was a First World War bomber and reconnaissance biplane. It was the first all-aluminium aircraft to be produced in large quantities (more than 8,000 between 1917 and 1928). The A.2 and B.2 versions had a pivoting turret at the rear with one or two 7.62mm Lewis machine guns protruding from the fuselage for ground fire. Its 300 hp Renault engine allowed it to fly fast and at high altitude without any escort. Seventy-one French squadrons used it. After the war, the Breguet 14 was used for commercial and mail transport.
