The Mont-Saint-Michel and its bay are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Between Granville and Cancale, the bay forms a 193 square miles (500 km²) depression and experiences the most important tides in Europe. They allow observing the Mount surrounded by water. At low or high tides, the Mont-Saint-Michel Bay reveals its fauna, flora, lights, and reflections. It is also a dangerous site, and it is strongly advised to cross it with a guide.
