The first turned wooden toys in Moirans-en-Montagne are dated from the beginning of the 19th century. The town is the main ambassador of the art of making traditional wooden toys. Bowling pins, spinning tops, and cars are among the most iconic toys. At Vilac company, each toy is craved, drilled, painted, mounted, and finished by hand. The lacquer gives the perfect shine to the toys.
