Countless essences are lined up on the shelves of the workshop of Louis Vuitton perfume house's nose Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud in the Fontaines Parfumées estate in Grasse. They allow the composition of the seven perfume families (woody, hesperid, amber, flowery, chypre, ferns, and leathers) thanks to natural raw materials of mainly vegetable origin. The essences in Grasse are created from flowers, herbs, spices, citrus fruits, seeds, wood, barks, leaves, and resins from all over the world.
