The Verdon Gorges by road
0
0
Two routes allow you to discover the Verdon Gorges: either take the D952 departmental road along the right bank to the North from Castellane to Moustiers-Sainte-Marie; or follow the left bank to the South, on the departmental roads D71, D90 and D955 going from Aiguines to Castellane. The most beautiful seasonal and tourist route, however, remains the ‘route des crêtes’ which runs along the gorges upstream of the Grand Canyon from La Palud-sur-Verdon. Its 14 belvederes equipped with guard rails offer breathtaking views of the Verdon, which they overlook from as high as 2,296 feet (700 metres).
