Gulls and seagulls are birds with long wings and webbed feet belonging to the Laridae family. In Canada, twenty-three species of gulls and seagulls have been recorded. They frequent freshwater and saltwater shores. They are omnivorous, but feed mainly on fish. Most species in Canada migrate to areas where water is open in winter.
