The cultures of the valleys

The agriculture of the bottom of the many valleys which punctuate the plateau of Valensole is dominated by the cultivation of cereals and fodders as well as by pastures. It is characterized by the small size of its plots contained between the wooded slopes of the valleys and partitioned by thicker riparian forests. There are also some olive groves on the sunniest slopes near the villages.
