As manager of La Grange de la Haute Vallée and breeder of Montbéliardes cows, Alain André is aware of the needs of his animals. In winter, he regularly adapts the rations he distributes to them by supplementing fodder with cereal carbohydrate supplements (wheat, barley, corn). The cows' feed also consists of protein supplements provided by cakes obtained from the seeds of oleaginous plants (soybeans, flax, sunflower, rapeseed) after oil extraction.
