The woodlands of the Yonne department

0
The background of this photo is a good illustration of the place of afforestation in the landscapes of the Yonne department, of which they cover a third of the territory. The third department of France for oak (by volume), the fifth for hornbeam, the sixth for black pine and the second for locust, the Yonne is also occupied by poplar groves and various alluvial afforestation along its watercourses. As for the very vast Othe forest, it extends over the eponymous cuesta near Joigny.
