The Normande cow is, without a doubt, the symbol of Normandy. It grazes peacefully on the plateaus of the cliffs and in the plots of bocage. This beautiful dairycow produces quality milk with the highest protein content among dairycows in France. Its meat has a great flavor and an inimitable marbling. It was born in the 18th century from three local breeds of Lower Normandy: the Cotentine, the Augeronne and the Cauchoise. By-products (cheese, cream) make Normandy famous.
