The Explorers
The Lékiny site is above all known for its fossil notched cliff. It constitutes a fairly constant in height continuous escarpment covered with vegetation and presenting a steep slope with overhangs. Created by the marine erosion along the eastern coast of Ouvéa, it is riddled with cavities. It also hosts the only mangrove swamp in the Loyalty Islands.
