Lékiny Bay

This aerial shot is centered on Lékiny Bay, a turquoise body of water located between the northern part of Ouvéa atoll (or Ohwen) in the foreground and the Mouli peninsula (or Laï) to the south. This bay delimits a customary fishing reserve for the Fayawa tribe which occupies the eponymous island in the center of the photo. Swimming there is therefore strictly prohibited, but it is authorized west of Mouli bridge, on the far right of the photo.
