The 'Val d'Amour'

From Dole to Salins-les-Bains in the Jura department, the 'Val d'Amour' stretches on both sides of the banks of the river Loue for around 186 square miles (300 km2). This low valley rich in water, meadows and forests would have welcomed in the 3rd century a tribe of Chamaves (people of Germania) who baptized it 'Amaous', later transformed into 'Val d'Amour'. This is where the 'Attelages du Val d'Amour' are installed.
