Today much visited for its fortress planted as a sentinel in the heart of Auxois, Châteauneuf is also full of beautiful stalls, terraces of restaurants and cafes, artisans and art workshops sheltered in the freshness of its centuries-old walls. Strolling between its beautiful houses from the 14th, 15th and 16th centuries, allows a journey through the history of this village at the foot of which Henri Vincenot, a Burgundian writer, placed the roof of the Western world : the watershed line.
