The economic fabric of Cuers, in the Var department, is traditionally based on agriculture with, in the past, a varied production of cereals, tobacco, potatoes, hemp, flax as well as goat, sheep, cattle, silkworms, and bees breeding. Today, the local economy is mainly refocused on vines and olive trees, Cuers being part of the production area of Provence olive oil (AOC) and Maures (IGP) and Côtes-de-Provence (AOC) wines. The outskirts of the village have a small area of commercial and industrial activity focused on the aviation and defense industry.
