The Mont-Dore is one of the two main ski resorts in the Sancy massif. Located on the Northern slope of the Puy de Sancy, its skiing area extends over 2,132 feet (650 metres) of vertical drop at an altitude of 3,937 to 6,069 feet (1,200 to 1,850 metres). It offers 20.5 miles (33 km) of runs (thirty-one runs total), served by fourteen ski lifts including a cable car (whose cables can be seen in this photo), three chairlifts and ten ski tows.
