In the 1970s, Antoine Cubaixo was a high school student in Vitry-le-François. It was then that he discovered the Lac du Der, shortly after its completion. Enthralled by the place, he came back in 2010, after completing a training course in ornithology. “Designed to protect Paris from flooding, the large lake of Der-Chantecoq has become a superb area where you can observe more than three hundred and ten species of birds out of the nine hundred or so visible in Europe!”. Antoine is always talking about his passion and is often called upon by professional photographers who use his talents as a guide.
