During a Camargue race, the tourneur attracts the attention of the bull to provoke its charge. The raseteur then cuts off the animal's path in an attempt to catch one of the attributes. Pursued by the bull, the raseteur then takes refuge behind the barrier. He jumps into an area called the sauvador, the place where he is saved.
