The awakening of the Mont
There it is, bathed in blue, the spire of the abbey of Mont-Saint-Michel, which was added at the end of the 19th century. It culminates at 156 metres and, at the top, Saint Michael watches over. The hammered and gilded copper statue is 4.5 metres high and spreads its protective wings. Dawn is approaching, the graceful and elegant silhouette of Mont-Saint-Michel is starting to stand out against the incandescent sky, coloured with hues of azure, blood-red, and gold.
