Famous for the richness of its ochres and its quarries exploited from the end of the 18th century to the 1930s, Roussillon is located in the heart of the northern Luberon valley, between the 'little' Luberon and the 'Monts de Vaucluse'. The town is bordered by two main streams, the Imergue to the north and the Urbane to the east, which participated in the creation of its particular relief.
