Keel-billed toucan's diet
1
0
The diet of the keel-billed toucan is mainly composed of fruits. It also consumes eggs and chicks of other species, small lizards, and tree frogs. To swallow a fruit, it throws their head back and swallows it at once. It plays an essential role in the regeneration of plants thanks to the dispersion of the seeds it regurgitates.⠀
