Located in the new city of Lusail, Place Vendôme Qatar is a hotel, retail, restaurant and entertainment complex. With a surface area of 12.4 million square feet (1.15 million square metres), the complex is inspired by classical French architecture. This style contrasts with the modernity of the four Lusail Plaza Towers in the background of this picture. Place Vendôme has 580 shops, most of which are international luxury and fashion brands. Two 5-star hotels, the Royal Meridien and the Palais Vendôme, and a hotel residence adjoin the shopping centre. The mall is located on the seafront, close to a stop on the Orange Line of the Lusail tramway. The construction of Place Vendôme Qatar began in 2014 and was completed in April 2022 at a cost of $1.25 billion.
