The common reef octopus has a developed visual acuity thanks to its eyes placed on the upper part of the mantle. Fond of crabs and molluscs that it shreds with its powerful beak, its searches the bottoms with the tip of its tentacles. Equipped with a main heart supported by 2 branchial hearts that pump the oxygenated blood, it closes at will its pallial cavity to drive away the water under pressure and swim by reaction.
