Polishing wooden rings

The Maison Vilac in Moirans-en-Montagne produces toys also intended for the early learning of babies. Particularly popular with toddlers, stacking toys are made up of rings of different sizes, usually three, strung on a fixed ring and its cleat surmounted by an animal's head (cat, dog, rabbit, etc). The rings must be absolutely smooth because they are often put in the mouth by children. On leaving the cutting, the rings are placed in a machine that stirs them and trims them until they are entirely soft.
