Lake Sainte-Croix
The Lake Sainte-Croix is fed by water flowing from the Verdon Gorges, passing under the Galetas Bridge visible in this photo. It then travels nearly 7 miles (11 km) to reach the 311 feet (95 metres) high Sainte-Croix dam. The reservoir of Sainte-Croix-du-Verdon is, to date, the largest of the artificial lakes created on the Verdon river.
