Verzenay lighthouse

In Verzenay, a lighthouse, as you would expect from Brittany, is immersed in a sea of vines. This 25-metre high building can be seen from afar. Its founder, Joseph Goulet, a wine merchant, had it built in 1909 to promote his champagne brand. Abandoned for years, the commune bought it in 1987. A new building now houses an eco-museum of Vine. Visitors discover the characteristics and specificities of the terroirs, the annual cycle of vine work, and the processes involved in making champagne. A collection of old tools completes the immersion.
