Located at the entrance to the port of Lympia east of the Pointe de Rauba-Capeù, the lighthouse of Nice was built between 1950 and 1952. It takes the form of a white pyramidal masonry tower mounted on a large stoned square plinth and surmounted by a red lantern with a gallery and a white roof. Sixty-nine ft high (22 m), the lighthouse emits a red flash every five seconds.
