Behind the lighthouse of Gatteville, its rocks, and the sea raging with currents, the green landscape of the Norman bocage extends. It consists of fertile lands on which cows graze in fields bordered by trees or low stone walls. Each plot, cultivated or not, is adorned with shrubs, brambles, and fruit trees. The loam thus remains trapped in the field and continues to feed both men and animals.
