This 'perched cat' which marks a pedestrian tourist route to discover the riches of Dole's urban heritage is a nod to the writer Marcel Aymé - the author of the 'Contes du Chat perché' (perched cat's tales) - who spent his childhood in Dole. The 'perched cat' circuit allows you in thirty-five stages to travel through eight centuries of Dole history via its emblematic monuments, its squares and its main streets. It is accompanied by signs translated into English and German and a free map available at the Tourist Office and at the town hall. Each step of the circuit also refers via a QR-code to the content of the mobile site.
