Heaven for fishermen
1
0
Near Joigny, the Yonne river and its Épizy diversion channel are particularly sought-after by fishermen as their waters are home to a great number of roaches, gudgeons, pikes, catfish, and even carps if you know where to look. The town even provides fishing lessons for children and adults and distributes a small explanatory guide. These passionate volunteers also maintain the off-season fishing spots. The Joigny region is home to five ponds, two sandpits, and 1,55 miles (2.5 km) of routes on the Yonne.
