The new village of Gassin constitutes a site registered by the CMN (National Monuments Center) for its modern 20th-century architecture. It was designed by the architect François Spoerry between 1989 and 1993 to revive the medieval village depopulated for the benefit of the plain and the district of La Foux. Located to the south of the historic heart of Gassin, it ensures its continuity through remarkable urban integration. This modern extension of the original medieval village includes more than 120 housing units (individual houses, apartment buildings, social housings), shops, and an expansion of the elementary school.
