The Parisian subway car from the 1950s displayed in the Cité du Train has remained in its original condition. Advertising signs were already present around wooden seats of relative comfort. The small luggage racks above them have since disappeared. The cars used to be separated between first and second classes, indicated with Roman numerals on the back of the seats. The doors' closing system was noisy and dangerous for the fingers.
