Lalique's monumental chandelier
3
0
In 1951, the Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris organized an exhibition entitled The Art of Glass. All the major French glass and crystal Cies are sending their best creation. They chose Lalique monumental chandelier to lit the entrance. It is nearly 3 meters (10 ft) high and weight 1.7 ton (3 750 lbs). After the exhibition, the chandelier is stored in the reserves of the Museum of Decorative Arts. In 2008 it was donated to the Lalique Museum, but there was no assembly plan for the 337 pieces of this glass puzzle. It took a long time and patience to assemble it.
