The garden of Giverny

0
In 1883, Claude Monet moved with his family to a rented property in Giverny, Normandy. For Monet the gardener, the house was perfect, facing south and protected by a hill along a river. For Monet the painter, the garden of Giverny was a source of endless inspiration, bathed in exceptional light. From his boat, he painted his famous Water Lilies series. Everywhere, roses and wisteria frolic in the paths. The artist’s house with its green shutters and the two gardens, restored to their original state, allow us to enter into the painter’s imagination.
