Waterbucks follow me sign
2
0
A large dark gray antelope, the common waterbuck is recognizable by its white ring on the rump. Called follow me sign, this white mark induces animals from a group to identify and to follow each other, especially when they are escaping from predators. Only the male has long horns slightly flared from 2.29 to more than 3.28ft (70 to more than 1m). They feed mainly on grass, sometimes fruits and leaves and live near permanent water points where they drink daily.
