Every year in July, the Saint-Pierre parish church of Castellar in the Alpes-Maritimes department hosts the International Mandolin Festival. The event is a tribute to an instrument experiencing full restoration of its audience and asserting itself as a concert instrument. During four days of concerts, entertainment, and masterclasses with international artists, the church resonates with a repertoire ranging from Baroque music to contemporary works. After a 12th edition organized from July 21 to 24, 2021, the 2022 occasion of the festival took place from July 20 to 23.
