This animal inhabits the deepest and darkest parts of the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans. The Dumbo octopus takes its name from the two fins glimpsed above its eyes, reminiscent of the cartoon character's ears. The Dumbo octopus feeds primarily on crustaceans and worms.
