The historic heart of the village of Gorbio in the Alpes-Maritimes department forms an oval around the old Lascaris castle, a stronghold mentioned from the beginning of the 11th century. The narrow streets are lined with tightened and high houses punctually connected by vaulted passages. It is the case of Rue Garibaldi, which links Place de l'Ormeau to Place de l'Eglise by borrowing two passages covered by houses before slightly widening near the town hall.
