During the raset phase, when the bull and the raseteur cross each other, the athlete tries to remove an attribute from the animal using a hook. After his attempt, the raseteur runs towards the barrier to protect himself from the chase of the bull. This confrontation and moment of vulnerability, known as the barrier blow, are greeted by the air of Carmen from George Bizet.
