The Dominican convent of Unterlinden was founded by two noble widows in the second half of the 13th century. It is an almost perfect square with its four galleries: fourteen arcades to the north and east, 13 arcades to the south and west. The style is pur gothic flamboyant with its stone floral laces. The Gothic cloister, built between 1280 and 1289, is now part of the Unterlinden Museum.
