The need for alternative accommodation

"Le Rayolet" Villa rises above the Mediterranean Sea on the eastern outcrop of the Domaine du Rayol in Rayol-Canadel-sur-Mer. It was commissioned in 1922 to provide alternative accommodation to the large patrician villa built by the Courmes couple at the start of the 20th century on the property's western promontory. "Le Rayolet" Villa became their home in 1925 when the Rayol was converted into a seaside resort by a real estate company and when the Courmes sold their patrician villa, later transformed into a hotel.
