The Philharmonie’s Belvedere
1
0
The Philharmonie de Paris building is unique in its innovative forms and ingenuity. At the back of the building, a ramp runs along the facade with its thousands of birds and leads to a roof-belvedere on the ninth floor, 37 metres high. An unusual viewpoint over the Eiffel Tower and the north-east of the Paris basin, the Belvedere is accessible either by the ramp or by lifts. The Philharmonie stands like a beacon in the middle of the Parc de la Villette, a green space for walking, a stone’s throw from the Cité de la Musique.
