The donkey is very gluttonous

Brigitte Pieau has been working at her Domaine d’Esthine, in Carolles (Manche), for the past three years. She is helping to raise awareness of the Cotentin donkey (Equus asinus), a Norman heritage breed. This small, versatile grey donkey is hardy and resistant to bad weather, insects, and diseases in general. Like all equids, its diet is based on fodder, grasses, flowers, and water (between 10 and 15 litres per day). The donkey is very gluttonous: one must pay attention not to overfeed it in nutrients and vitamins.
