Lakes with rich fishery resources

The glacial lakes of Malrif - Grand Laus (photo), Petit Laus, and Mézan - in the Queyras massif are particularly popular with fishing enthusiasts despite their altitude between 8,461 and 9,202 ft (2,579 and 2,805 m). They reach the lakes on foot by taking the path leaving from Aiguilles and passing by the Lombart sheepfold. Beyond the panorama they offer upon arrival, the three lakes of Malrif have a surface area large enough to accommodate important fish populations of brown trouts, graylings, and brook salmons.
