Lake Betaniella - Monte Rotondo

At an altitude of 8,602 ft (2,622 m) in the center of Corsica, the Rotondo is the highest point of the second highest massif of the island. Monte Rotondo has seven lakes, including Lake Betaniella. Of glacial origin, it is the largest natural lake in Corsica. It measures 1,394 ft (425 m) long and 738 ft (225 m) wide with a depth of 115 ft (35 m). Also called Lake Bellebone or simply Lake Rotondo it culminates at 7,614 ft (2 321 m) above sea level.
