A single bee is capable of gathering pollen from 250 flowers per hour and storing 500,000 grains of pollen on a single leg. Out of a hundred wild or domestic plants species constituting our food resources, they alone pollinate seventy-one and, by gathering pollen from the flowers, contribute to the quality and quantity of the fruits. In return, some flowers produce nectar that bees love. They harvest it with their trunks and store it in their nectar sacs up to the hive.
