The crossing of the Vecchio Valley

In the heart of the Vecchio Valley, several bridges connect the departments of Haute-Corse and Corse-du-Sud. In 1926, a road bridge was built in a single stone arch. It is replaced in 1999 by a new road bridge (in the foreground). At the end of the 19th century, the famous Gustave Eiffel built a metal bridge so that the Corsican train crosses the Vecchio river (in the middle). It is the largest viaduct of Corsica.
